Abstract: An important Pre-Columbian religious site with multiple temples and ramped pyramids on the Central Coastal deserts of Peru. Pachacamac (Pachakamaq) had an extensive time depth that influenced and was influenced by multiple cultures. The site of Pachacamac was dedicated to and named after the vengeful chthonic creator god. The religion of Pachacamac and its influence spread well beyond its geographic origin with societies across the Pacific Coast, Andean highlands, and Upper Amazon being familiar with the Pachacamac. Societies as far north as Ecuador revered Pachacamac.
