Abstract: This scholarly inquiry undertakes a rigorous examination of Mullai Kalai, an ancient Tamil literary work, through the lens of cultural anthropology. By meticulously analyzing the cultural practices, social structures, and lived experiences of the Aayar community as depicted in the text, this study seeks to contribute to a nuanced understanding of the community's cultural dynamics and traditional ways of life. Through a critical engagement with the literature, this research aims to illuminate the complexities of the Aayar community's cultural identity and its significance within the broader context of Tamil cultural heritage.
