Bridging IT and Education: Developing Smart Platforms for Student-Centered English Learning

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The integration of Information Technology (IT) into education has opened new opportunities for improving language learning, particularly in English, which serves as the global medium for academic, professional, and intercultural communication. Traditional approaches to English instruction often rely on teacher-centered delivery, static resources, and uniform content that fail to meet the diverse needs of learners. As a result, students frequently encounter barriers such as low engagement, limited personalization, and inadequate feedback mechanisms. To address these challenges, this study explores the development of a smart, IT-driven platform designed to support student-centered English learning. The proposed platform leverages artificial intelligence, data analytics, and interactive digital tools to provide adaptive learning pathways, real-time feedback, and engaging, multimodal content. By aligning pedagogical principles with technological innovation, it encourages learner autonomy, collaboration, and motivation while giving educators access to data-driven insights for personalized guidance. Related research on intelligent tutoring systems, gamified learning, and adaptive educational technologies provides the foundation for this work. A pilot evaluation suggests that students using such platforms demonstrate measurable improvements in vocabulary development, comprehension skills, and overall engagement compared to conventional methods. The results highlight the transformative role of IT in making English learning more accessible, flexible, and effective. The paper concludes that smart platforms hold significant potential to reshape language education and contribute to scalable, inclusive solutions in modern learning environments.
