Transition towards zero-emission construction sites – The role of blockchain, resource sharing modes and planning coordination
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Electrifying construction sites requires not only technical innovation but also new forms of coordination, access and trust. This paper examines how niche and regime actors frame key operational dimensions – blockchain technologies, resource sharing modes and planning coordination – in the transition to zero-emission construction. Combining the Multi-Level Perspective with Framing Theory, we identify two emerging pathways: a production machinery-led and a platform-led model, each reflecting distinct governance logics and actor motivations.
