Abstract: This article aims to discuss the importance of postgraduate music courses that include performance practices as a line of research, offering equality between the academic discourse, widely present among professors and doctors, and the discourse of performers, more oriented toward obtaining technical and professional development. The theoretical foundation of the text is based on researchers Lucas Robatto (2013) and Gerhard Mantel (2010), among others.
