Abstract: The study focused on the formulation and evaluation of a beta-cyclodextrin-based nanosponge cream containing Desonide for the treatment of skin diseases. Pre-formulation studies confirmed the identity and quality of Desonide through organoleptic analysis, melting point determination (214 °C), pH (3.9), and solubility testing, which showed poor water solubility but good solubility in acetone and DMSO. IR spectroscopy confirmed the presence of key functional groups. Nanosponges were successfully formulated and characterized, with F4 showing the best results in terms of smallest particle size (59.91 nm), highest entrapment efficiency (97.41%), and optimal zeta potential (-12.7 mV). SEM analysis revealed a spherical, porous morphology.
