Abstract: The current trajectory of AI, dominated by ever-larger transformer models, is on a collision course with fundamental physical and economic limits. This research challenges that trajectory by presenting a radical architectural alternative. We reject the notion that intelligence must emerge from opaque, trillion-parameter statistical models and instead return to first principles.
