Abstract: A new species, Acanthurella himalayana sp. nov. is described, illustrated and presented here. The species found from Kalimpong district of West Bengal (India) is unique in pigment patches and humped meso-thorax. Chaetotaxy of the new species and a key to the world species of the genus is provided.
