Abstract: There is a need for the life of animals to work together with human life. Throughout time, Tamil literature has highlighted the fact that humans have used animals for many needs such as food, labor, and protection. In this way, this article examines the records of animals in the literature. Through the three-legged pallu, we can see that the social bond between animals and humans is revealed by the contribution of animals to food production, one of the basic needs of the human race. In Kalingathupbarani, the fact that animals were an army for the king ruling the country can be seen as a contribution to the country. The life of animals in the court of Kuravanji amazes humans. Through this study, we can see that humans have been dependent on animals for some reason throughout time.
