Black Holes as Universal Grinders A Basalian Perspective on Cosmic Recycling

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper offers a reflective reframing of black holes — not as mere gravitational endpoints, but as participants in a cosmic cycle of transformation and renewal. It is a companion to a broader contemplative project (The Basalian Reflections) that reads Qur’anic cosmology alongside modern physics as metaphor and inspiration rather than as empirical proof. The paper’s foundation is well-established astrophysics. The regulation of galaxies by their central supermassive black holes — known as AGN (active galactic nucleus) feedback — is a mature field: accreting black holes drive jets, winds, and outflows that both suppress and, in places, trigger star formation, and that chemically enrich the gas around galaxies. This paper contemplates that real process through the accessible image of a “grinder” or recycling engine, and connects it to a Qur’anic theme of balance (Mizan). The paper also entertains a more speculative idea — that “multidimensional time” might play a role in how information is handled at the horizon. This is presented explicitly as philosophical interpretation, not physics. The mainstream physics community has, in recent years, made strong progress on the information paradox through holography and the “islands” / Page-curve results, which indicate that information is preserved without requiring extra temporal dimensions. This paper does not claim to improve on that work; it offers the multidimensional-time image only as a contemplative overlay. Keywords: AGN feedback, cosmic recycling, black holes, circumgalactic enrichment, Qur’anic cosmology, reflective synthesis, balance (Mizan).
