Challenges facing VET transformation in the SADC region

Abstract: Across the globe, vocational education and training (VET) systems have experienced a period of almost unprecedented transformation since the beginning of the 1990s. The SADC region is no exception and the process of transformation is continuing across member states. This paper highlights seven aspects of the far-ranging reform agenda and raises a series of challenges that lie ahead for the region's systems in turning the new vision into reality.
