Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This blog post examines the Camden Museum's treadle sewing machine, which symbolises the significant role of sewing in women's lives from the 19th century onwards. Women made significant contributions to the war efforts through Red Cross sewing circles, producing thousands of items during both World Wars.
