Time in Classical Mechanics, Relativity, and R-Theory: From Absolute Flow to Resonant Phase Shifts

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper reexamines the concept of time by tracing its evolution from Newton’s absolute flow to Einstein’s relativistic spacetime and introduces a resonance-based reinterpretation within R-theory. Instead of treating time as an independent background or a purely geometric property, R-theory defines time as the emergent result of cyclic resonance and phase-locking in the coherent zero field. Phase shifts in resonant structures serve as the true clock, explaining both the uniformity of classical time and the variability of relativistic time dilation. In this view, motion and gravity alter local resonance frequencies, reframing relativity as resonance variation rather than spacetime curvature. Time thus emerges as relational, cyclic, and grounded in coherence—“the music of the universe resonating with itself.
