Endoscopic Carpel Tunnel Release: A Clinical Case Study and Surgical Technique

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The most common kind of median nerve entrapment neuropathy is carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The use of a single, small incision for CTR surgery is growing in popularity. The main advantages of a single limited incision include a quicker return to work, less scarring, less pillar pain, and a speedier recovery. An investigation report on the surgical technique, surgical recommendations, and results of a single, limited incision via endoscopic release for CTS is provided by this study. CTS struck a 41-year-old woman. After the nonoperative treatment failed, the patient underwent endoscopic carpal tunnel release with a single restricted incision, and 6 months later, the patient was able to resume work with great results. The patient expressed great satisfaction with this surgical method. This instance demonstrates how endoscopic surgery for CTS can be successful. This approach, which only requires a single small incision, improves both visual efficiency during surgery and full transverse carpal ligament release. This method completely releases the transverse carpal ligament. The superficial palmar arches and median nerves remain unharmed during the procedure. It has been demonstrated that this method is both safe and effective for endoscopic surgery. Surgeons treating CTS with endoscopic surgery may find this method useful.
