The Strong Force as Coherent Binding of Resonance Nodes: An R-Theory Perspective
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper reinterprets the strong and weak nuclear interactions through the framework of Resonance Theory (R-theory). In the Standard Model, the strong force is mediated by gluons that confine quarks, while the weak force is carried by heavy W and Z bosons responsible for particle decay. R-theory offers an alternative: both interactions are emergent expressions of resonance coherence in the zero field. The strong force corresponds to maximal phase-locking of quark nodes, producing stable bound states that cannot exist freely. The weak force reflects coherence breakdown, where phase-locking fails and resonance reorganizes, observed as radioactive decay. Nuclei are thus understood not as compact clusters of particles but as resonant domains, sustained by collective coherence and describable through geometric symmetries such as tetrahedral or octahedral structures. This reinterpretation unifies nuclear stability, fusion, and fission as processes of resonance reconfiguration, positioning the nucleus as a resonant crystal in the zero field—the fundamental building block of matter.
