Abstract: The Dalit people who were in slavery converted to Christianity, feeling that they were not respected as a people. The lower caste people had the idea that the solution to caste oppression was to convert to Christianity. But they were saddened by the practice of untouchability even in Christianity. Mark's novel 'Yathrai' highlights the caste discrimination prevailing in Christianity. This article attempts to examine the life struggles of Dalits.
