Economic and Social Impacts of Pediatric Health Consulting Centers in the United States

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study investigates, through a systematic literature review, how pediatric health consulting and training centers contribute to local economies by generating employment, revenue, and positive social impact in vulnerable communities in the United States. The analysis demonstrates that health entrepreneurship, specifically through specialized consulting centers, represents a sustainable business model with the potential to generate significant economic returns while simultaneously promoting health equity. Results indicate that such centers can create a substantial number of direct and indirect jobs, generate billions in economic activity, and reduce overall healthcare system costs. The discussion highlights the strategic relevance of health businesses as a tool for national impact, capable of aligning economic development with improved social and health outcomes for the pediatric population. The methodology employs a hybrid approach combining systematic literature review with applied market analysis, using the author's business plan as a prospective case study to validate theoretical hypotheses in a practical context.
