Abstract: The study evaluated visual perception, particularly visual attention, and examined the architectural elements and features that capture the attention of worshippers from different locations within the prayer hall of mosques, starting from their entry into the prayer hall. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods through the analysis of ten mosques in the city of Duhok, utilizing the visual attention software as an artificial intelligence tool for analysis. It is concluded that there is a disparity in attention averages across different locations within the prayer hall due to the lack of balance and variation in the employment and distribution of architectural elements in certain directions.
