The Necessity of Absolute Space and Time for Light Speed Constancy: A Novel Experimental Approach to Fundamental Physics
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper presents a theoretical framework arguing for the necessity of absolute space and time coordinates in defining the fundamental constant $c$ (speed of light). I propose that the Lorentz factor equation $\gamma = c \frac{dt}{ds}$ requires redefinition of $c$ in terms of absolute coordinates $c = \frac{ds_a}{dt_a}$, where the geometric field interval and absolute time provide the foundational framework for light's constant velocity. A novel experimental design is presented that avoids conventional time measurement devices and relies on simultaneity detection to verify light speed constancy. The proposed approach challenges current relativistic interpretations by asserting that absolute space-time must exist as the fundamental substrate that enables light to maintain constant velocity across all reference frames.
