Abstract: The first iteration of the Human-Centered Data Science Computing Education (HCDS CompEd) Framework Materials Kit. Materials include: The survey and scoring rubric for pre- and post-course assessment of students' knowledge building, decision making, and empowerment for human-centered and technical concepts. Adapted Ethical Engine assignments used as in-class activities in an introductory programming course. Code notebook to analyze a synthetic set of student survey responses - with t-tests, Wilcoxon signed-ranks tests, and descriptive statistics. Human-centered quiz and assignment prompts used in an introductory programming course.
