Abstract: Wikimuseum is a prototype platform for multilingual virtual exhibitions developed by volunteers from the Estonian Wikipedia, Reprex, and GLAM partners. It focuses on endangered language communities such as the Seto, Sámi, and Livonians, whose cultural heritage is often fragmented across borders and archives. Using Wikimedia tools like Wikibase and curated GLAM content, the project brings together dispersed media and knowledge into accessible, narrative-driven collections. Wikimuuseum supports storytelling through thematic exhibitions and linked data, offering new ways to preserve and present cultural identity online—even for communities too small to sustain a full Wikipedia edition.
