Lapse Gradient Gravity (LGG): A Relativistic Time Gradient and Alternative to Drak Matter

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This report presents Lapse-Gradient Gravity (LGG), a novel relativistic theory proposed as an alternative to dark matter. In the theory's weak-field limit, it generates a universal asymptotic term that reproduces the observed flat rotation curves of galaxies without the need for exotic particles. The report details the LGG model and its application to the rotation curves of the Milky Way, M33, and NGC 3198. The primary focus of this work, however, is the formulation of two unique and falsifiable predictions designed to test the theory against new observational data:An exact prediction of the surface-density slope for the galaxy cluster MACS J1149.5+2223 at 100 kpc, to be tested against future data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).Concrete predictions for the Einstein radius of two specific SLACS lenses (SDSS J0037-0942 and SDSS J2321-0939), which can be compared with published measurements. These predictions offer a crucial scientific test of the LGG model. The report is intended for a broader scientific review and awaits the necessary observational data to either verify or falsify the theory.
