Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The London Infection Network for ECRs (LINE) is a multi-institutional platform founded in late 2021, with representatives from The Francis Crick Institute, Imperial College London (ICL), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Birbeck - University of London, University College London (UCL), Queen Mary University London (QMUL), King's College London and Cambridge Univeristy, with the aim of supporting scientific and social exchange between young researchers working in the field of Infection Biology in London. Supported by funding from the Francis Crick Institute (Networking fund), the Company of biologists and diverse industry sponsors, LINE successfully delivered its third one-day symposium, envisioned as an event by ECRs for ECRs to promote scientific exchange. Following the meeting, we sent out a survey to all participants, aiming at understanding how the symposium was received, what we did well and which improvements we should incorporate in the next event.
