Upper digestive tract obstruction caused by annular pancreas combined with duodenal bulb stenosis: a case report

Abstract: Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly that is frequently misdiagnosed due to its nonspecific imaging characteristics. This article presented a case of annular pancreas with duodenal bulb stenosis causing upper gastrointestinal obstruction, which was initially misdiagnosed as ampullary tumor preoperatively and subsequently confirmed by surgical exploration. Through retrospective case analysis and literature review, we aimed to evaluate the potential clinical value of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in the management of this condition.
