Abstract: The article presents the history of using laparoscopic herniorrhaphy for congenital inguinal hernias in children. It describes the development of the herniorrhaphy technique, as well as treatment outcomes in various clinics worldwide. According to the authors, this surgical method has excellent prospects for widespread implementation in clinical practice.
