Digital Predistortion with ROVA

Abstract: To improve the linearity and efficiency of power amplifiers (PAs), itisn owadays$p$aramount to predistort them using digital predistortion (DPD). An accurate model is needed for the predistorter, and this paper proposes and shows that the frequency-domain ROVA (seRies expansiOn of the Volterra Approach) model fits$p$erfectly$h$ere.$T$he a dvantages o f having a low number of hyperparameters to tune and the parsimony to performance ratio of ROVA make it an attractive alternative to existing models.
