Gravity as a Manifestation of Inertia: The Solid Vacuum Paradigm
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study proposes a novel physical framework in which the vacuum is conceptualized as an ultra-dense, cold, and elastic solid medium. Within this paradigm, both light and matter waves propagate as distortional waves, and mass is interpreted as vibrational energy localized within the vacuum matrix. Gravity is redefined as a gradient in distortion energy induced by mass and motion, eliminating the need for the equivalence principle. Through this model, inertial and gravitational mass are unified as manifestations of the same mechanical distortion. The theory reproduces key gravitational phenomena—such as light deflection, gravitational redshift, and the precession of Mercury—while providing a fundamentally mechanical basis for gravity. Furthermore, it reinterprets the matter wave as a physical deformation in the vacuum structure, linking mass, wave behavior, and motion under a coherent framework. This approach offers a new perspective on the physical origin of gravity, potentially bridging classical mechanics, quantum theory, and general
