Current State and Development Trends of Green Power Traceability and Certification Mechanisms
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: As climate change concerns grow, green electricity is key for sustainable development and reducing emissions. Green power traceability and certification mechanisms are crucial for consumer identification and market transparency, but face challenges like cost, complexity and market acceptance. The paper analyzes domestic and international status, focuses on “electricity certification” and “separation of electricity certification” practicality. At the same time, considering the application of the digitalization scenario of the power traceability certification mechanism this paper proposes a digitalized whole-process tracking system for power. It also suggests China should focus on market scale adaptability, blockchain and regulatory optimization, and promoting green certificate internationalization and its connection with carbon trading, to provide directions for future improvement.
