Relational Existence Theory for Chemical Reaction Networks: A New Framework for Dynamic Interaction Models
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Chemistry has long relied on models that treat atoms and molecules as fixed particles. Classical bonding theories, transition state theory, and reaction coordinate models describe interactions as static or quasi-static processes. However, advances in quantum chemistry and molecular dynamics indicate that chemical reactions should be understood as dynamic and complex interaction networks. This study introduces the philosophical framework of Relational Existence Theory into chemistry, redefining molecules and atoms as entities constituted within relationships.
