Co-Creation and Computation: AI & Graphic Design
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This workshop, facilitated by Héniel Fourie, explored the entanglement of human and machine creativity in practice-led and practice-based research. Through hands-on engagement with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Whisk, participants investigated how authorship, process, and artefacts shift when creation is distributed across human and non-human actors. The session combined conceptual framing with speculative exercises, collaborative reflection, and critical discussion, positioning AI not only as a tool but as a co-creator, mirror, and provocateur in creative research practices.
