Abstract: Television plays a crucial role in shaping society's understanding of Islam through various religious programs broadcasted. As a mass media platform with wide reach, television can deliver Islamic teachings in an engaging and easily comprehensible manner for people from different backgrounds. This study aims to analyze how television contributes to enhancing Islamic understanding, the types of programs that have an impact, and the extent of its effectiveness compared to other learning sources. The research employs a qualitative analysis method with a case study approach on several television stations that regularly air Islamic programs. The findings indicate that well-packaged Islamic programs, such as interactive sermons, Quranic interpretation studies, and religious discussions, effectively improve public understanding of Islam. However, challenges remain in delivering information, including interpretative bias and limited direct interaction with the audience. Therefore, more innovative and collaborative strategies are needed to enhance television’s effectiveness in fostering Islamic understanding within society.
