Abstract: Based on cultural development, the human race has been divided into male and female genders. From the Sangam period to the present day, the importance of women has been suppressed. We will see this through the story of Tolkappiyam, the first son of the Tamil woman. The purpose of this article is to study the four female character structures in Tolkappiyam: the heroine, the friend, the nurse, and the companion.
