The Spherical Extension of the Ramanujan Inequality Asymptotic Principle: A Higher-Dimensional Framework for Analytic, Geometric, and Spectral Inequalities

Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This paper introduces the Spherical RIAP (Ramanujan Inequality Asymptotic Principle), a novel generalization of Ramanujan’s asymptotic decomposition framework into higher dimensions. Building on the canonical form $F(x)=M(x)+E(x),∣E(x)∣≤Φ(x)Ψ(x),F(x) = M(x) + E(x), \quad |E(x)| \leq \Phi(x)\Psi(x),$ the author replaces the classical circle method with spherical harmonic analysis on Sd−1S^{d-1}, enabling sharper bounds for multi-dimensional problems such as lattice point counts, automorphic forms, and spectral inequalities. The framework is applied to the Gauss circle and sphere problems, the Dirichlet Divisor Problem, and the Goldbach Conjecture, embedding each into a falsifiable structure with domain-specific error classification. A new arrow taxonomy (⇒, ⇐, ↔, ⇒₍crit₎) is introduced to classify dominance and oscillation behavior, while an implied error decomposition extends the method to non-analytic inequalities. The paper includes formal definitions, admissibility checklists, computational benchmarks, and a roadmap for addressing open problems using decoupling techniques, automorphic trace formulas, and spherical harmonic expansions. It concludes with a unified theorem and a falsifiability posture, positioning Spherical RIAP as a modular scaffold for future breakthroughs in analytic number theory and spectral geometry.
