Abstract: The nature worship methods found in Sangam literature were the initial stage of ancestor worship. These nature worship methods have developed over time. In ancient times, Murugan was worshipped as a Tamil god. We can know the worship of Murugan through ‘Velaan Veriyaattu’. To resolve the change in the mane of a love-struck heroine, a program called Velan Veriyaattu is performed and Murugan is worshipped. According to nature worship, Seyon Murugan became the god of Kurinji.
