Ram Pumps as Hydraulic Power Plants: Ancient Mega-Lifts at Giza, Angkor Wat, and Teotihuacan

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This preprint introduces the hypothesis that ancient megalithic civilizations engineered self-powered hydraulic ram-pump systems as mechanical power plants, harnessing aquifer surges and river floods to lift multi-ton stones and drive irrigation canals. Focusing on Giza (Egypt), Angkor Wat (Cambodia), and Teotihuacan (Mexico), the paper unites hydrology, geology, and architecture to propose that these sites formed a global eco-hydraulic network. Using the Swygert Equilibrium Quotient (SEQ) from the Swygert Theory of Everything AO (TSTOEAO), the study models system persistence and resonance-based efficiency, offering testable predictions through GPR and muon-imaging surveys. The findings reframe 4,500–1,000 BCE as the era of planetary-scale hydraulic engineering and provide insight for modern sustainable design.
