Abstract: Education is the basic right of every child, butthe journey in science stream is a bit challenging,especially for girls. In today's time, the role of bothsociety and family is important that girls choose sciencein higher education and perform well in it. Sciencestream is considered tough because it requires logicalthinking, problem solving and continuous effort. In thissituation, parental encouragement becomes a powerfulfactor that motivates girl students and builds theirconfidence.Parental encouragement means that parentsmotivate their children, create a study environmentfor them, understand their problems, and support them- be it emotional, financial or social. When parentsopenly support their daughters, there is a noticeableimprovement in their performance.
