Dark Energy as Dynamic Lattice Relaxation:

Year: 2025
Type: dissertation
Abstract: Recent cosmological observations increasingly suggest dark energy is not constant but evolves with cosmic time. We present a dynamic resolution within Thread Theory, where dark energy corresponds to the relaxation energy of the thread lattice as it expands. The theory predicts: (1) an evolving vacuum energy density ρΛ(a) = ρΛ,0 [1 + α(1 − a)] with α ∼ 0.1; (2) a time-varying equation of state w(a) ≈ −1 + β(1 − a); (3) specific signatures in the Hubble tension and CMB power spectrum. The mechanism involves the thread lattice’s elastic response to cosmic expansion, where increasing inter-thread spacing reduces the condensate energy density. This framework naturally explains the observed dark energy evolution while maintaining the threadbased unification of gravity, dark matter, and standard model physics.
