Probing Boundary Spins in the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger-Hubbard model: datasets

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Numerical dataset corresponding to the manuscript "Probing Boundary Spins in the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger-Hubbard model", where we studied a 1D Su-Schrieffer-Heeger-Hubbard model at half filling. Data for the profiles of Sz and the spin gaps were obtained using the Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG) method implemented through the ITENSOR library (M. Fishman, S. R. White, and E. M. Stoudenmire, The ITensor Software Library for Tensor Network Calculations, SciPost Phys. Codebases , 4 (2022)). Fig 2: Spin gap as a function of system size for t1 = 0.9 and several values of U. Fig 3a: Expectation value of the spin projection for each site for a Su Schrieffer Heeger chain of 20 sites Sz = 1, t1 = 0.9 and several values of U Fig 3b: Expectation value of the spin projection for each site for a Su Schrieffer Heeger chain of 70 sites Sz = 1, t1 = 0.9 and several values of U Fig 4: Datasets of V^2_j values calculated using Eq. (21) and 2 ⟨Sz_j ⟩ obtained from those in Fig. 3 (t1/t2 = 0.9 is the same for all datasets). Datasets 4(a)-(d) correspond to a chain of 20 sites for various values of U/t2. Dataset 4(e) correspond to a 70-site chain and U/t2 = 8. Fig 6: Spin gap as a function of system size for t1 = 0.7 and several values of U. Fig. 7: Expectation value of the spin projection for each site for a SSHC of 16 sites, Sz = 1, t1 = 0.7 and two values of U.
