Abstract: The drive unit for automatic door systems is typically covered with a cover. Thus, a cover made of various materials serves to protect the drive components from dust. However, there are also aesthetic reasons for covering the drive. The cover must be mounted in such a way that access to the drive components is guaranteed during servicing. Therefore, many covers are offered with a reopening function. If the cover is not completely removed from the drive to ensure accessibility, it must be held in an open position. A cover position holder can be useful here.
