The Role of Toys in Children's Education
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper explores the essential role of toys in children’s education and overall development. Far from being mere instruments of entertainment, toys serve as powerful educational tools. They support cognitive growth, language acquisition, social interaction, environmental awareness, and psychological well-being. Drawing on classical theories from Piaget and Vygotsky, as well as contemporary research, the study demonstrates how toys enhance learning in both formal and informal contexts. The findings reveal that toys stimulate memory retention, encourage creativity, reduce stress, and promote holistic growth. Moreover, the paper highlights the significance of multilingual and eco-friendly toys in fostering cultural competence and environmental responsibility.
