Abstract: The modern poems composed by Mahakavi Bharathiyar contain inspiring and uplifting messages that inspire people of all ages, from children to adults, with a sense of freedom and self-confidence. In particular, these poems are characterized by virtues for the young, which are characteristic of children's literature. Since children can only acquire the intellectual skills to understand and act on social values if they are reformed during their school years, Bharathiyar's poems can be taken as guides for children. Some of Bharathiyar's works also shine as contents of children's literature. He gives various advices such as "Love is seen," "Run and play, father," "May you have mercy on the enemy, O heart of mercy," "You are a small parrot, Kannamma," and "You are a child who never plays games." This article reveals that moral thoughts for children are revealed.
