The Concept of Freedom in Career Guidance and Criminal Law
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The concept of freedom constitutes a fundamental notion both in philosophy and in the applied sciences of law and career counseling. This study examines how freedom of choice is shaped and constrained in two seemingly different fields: career guidance and criminal law. Through comparative analysis, common philosophical foundations of individual autonomy are identified, along with the ways in which society recognizes, supports, or limits free will. The study concludes that freedom, as a fundamental right, presupposes not only the absence of external constraints but also the existence of internal conditions that enable conscious and responsible choice.
