Statistical Treatment for the Variation of Density of a Classical Gas With Distance in a Closed Rotating Cylinder: a Pedagogical Communication

Abstract: Let us consider a classical gas confined in a cylinder and rotated with an angular velocity about cylinder axis. In this pedagogical communication, we shall investigate the variation of density of the gas with distance from the axis of cylinder. We will make a study of the functional dependence of density at different frequency limits of rotation and also analyse its experimental importance giving a statistical interpretation.
