Abstract: The Cover Feature shows how chemistry, logistics, packaging design, law, policy and other factors affect the effectiveness and efficiency of plastic recycling. Converting PS waste into valuable chemicals can surpass the low-value approaches of producing fuel or regenerated plastics. In this illustration, the signposts highlight the important roles of “policy”, “design” and “logistics”.
