Abstract: The National Education Policy 2020 aims to fundamentally transform the Indian education system by shifting away from rote learning towards learner centric learning that emphasizes developing higher order learning-thinking skill. The learning-thinking style depends upon cerebral dominance of an individual. This study attempted to find out the relationship and significance of difference between academic achievements of secondary school students and also concluded that academic achievement of Biology and Chemistry students of right hemisphere is greater than left hemisphere. The NEP 2020 aims to transform the education system in India by promoting a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to learning. It focuses on developing critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills among students, along with a strong foundation in core subjects. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is a landmark policy document that aims to revolutionize the education system in India.
