The Breathing Universe: 202_Time Crystals

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This whitepaper reframes the Breathing Universe Model as a compact, data-driven framework. We posit an early, time-crystal–like phase that weakly modulates the cosmic expansion for a limited epoch. The model is specified by a small modulation amplitude, a characteristic frequency, and a time-domain phase (theta), and it predicts a corresponding spectral phase (phi) in the primordial power spectrum. From this setup we derive three concrete observational signatures: (1) logarithmically periodic features in the CMB and primordial spectrum; (2) a comb-like pattern in the stochastic gravitational-wave background with narrow or mildly broadened lines; and (3) percent-level modulations and a small BAO phase shift in large-scale structure. We provide explicit parameter-to-observable mappings, conservative and optimistic benchmarks, and falsifiability thresholds compatible with current and near-future surveys. The paper includes step-by-step analysis recipes for standard tools (e.g., CLASS/CAMB and MCMC for CMB, DESI-style pipelines for LSS/BAO, and line searches for PTA/LISA/ground-based detectors). Together, these elements enable multi-probe consistency tests that can strongly support—or sharply constrain—the Breathing Universe scenario.. This version includes a Full Test Playbook
