Abstract: ABSTRACT The heavy metals content that found in ground water source is a rising concern as they existacknowledged to be persistent in nature and has been instituteliving organisms because of bio-accumulate. The heavy metals cause harmful health belongings to human beings including cancer, damage of the nervous system, breathing illnesses and relating to skin problem. So, it is urgent want to estimate the concentration of the heavy metals inwater source. This research was aimed to assess determination of physico-chemical parameters and concentration of the selected heavy metals in the borehole drinking water from Kebado Town Dara Woreda, Sidama Regional State, Ethiopia. The selected heavy metals of study were Iron, Lead, Manganese, Cadmium and Nickel with physico-chemical parameters.A concentration of heavy metals was determined using palintest water technology. Physico-chemical parameters (PH,Electrical conductivity,Total dissolved sold,Temprerure and Turbidity) were determined by usingAAS. Physicochemical parameters were evaluated at pH6.6, 6.5 and 8.2, Electrical conductivity 222, 89 and 448µS/cm, Total dissolved solid 111,45 and 224mg/L, Turbidity 3, 4and 3NTU for the Kuriye, Darancho and Bonkoka respectively. The finding shows that the concentration of investigated of Fe was 0.02, 0.05and 0.76mg/L of Kuriye, Darancho and Bonkoka respectively. Concentration of Mn was 0.00.0and 0.6 mg/L of Kuriye, Darancho and Bonkoka respectively. Concentrations of Pb were0.05, 0.03and 0.05mg/L of Kuriye, Darancho and Bonkoka respectively. Concentration of Ni was 0.2, 0.30.25 mg/L of Kuriye, Darancho and Bonkoka respectively. Concentration of Cd was 0.3, 0.4and 0.3mg/L for Kuriye, Darancho and Bonkoka respectively.Concentration of Cd and Pb the three borehole water were slightly upperthanWHO standard which was 0.003 and 0.01 mg/L for Cd and Pb respectively. General, it concludes that the value of physico –chemical parameters and heavy metal value were found in the interval permissible limit WHO standard.
