Abstract: This systematic literature review article evaluates the impact of emerging technologies on the automation of customs processes and documentation management in foreign trade. The research demonstrates how innovations such as integrated management systems (ERP), blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI) are redefining international operations, focusing on cost reduction, deadline optimization, and increased information security. The analysis of scientific literature and market reports reveals that the adoption of these technologies results in a significant reduction in operational errors and costs, while at the same time improving the efficiency and transparency of processes. The discussion delves into the implications of these transformations for the modernization of international logistics, with an emphasis on the Brazilian context, and highlights the challenges and opportunities for the successful integration of these technologies into the foreign trade ecosystem.
