Abstract: Antiparasitic medications are crucial for treating helminthic, ectoparasitic, and protozoal infections, which continue to pose a serious threat to world health. These substances work in a variety of ways, such as by interfering with neuromuscular function, altering membrane integrity, disrupting energy metabolism, and inhibiting the production of nucleic acids. Understanding pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and possible drug-drug and drug-food interactions is necessary for their clinical usage. The clinical pharmacology of antiparasitic medications is reviewed in this article, with a focus on the mechanisms of action, absorption, metabolism, and elimination. In both research and clinical practice, particular attention is paid to interactions that are clinically relevant and techniques for assessing the efficacy and safety of drugs.
