Abstract: This White Paper, supported by intacs e.V. presents the results of an international online survey on the practical experience and profitability of Automotive-SPICE®-compliant development projects. The study aimed to evaluate how ASPICE® implementation affects project outcomes, process quality, and financial performance.Based on 167 valid responses from OEMs, suppliers, and engineering service providers, the analysis shows that ASPICE®-based processes lead to measurable improvements in requirements traceability, early defect detection, and cross-team communication. While the initial implementation requires financial and organizational investment, many participants reported positive financial impacts and improved customer satisfaction once processes became more mature and established.The White Paper provides data-driven insights for decision-makers, assessors, and engineers into the relationship between process maturity, efficiency, and profitability in the automotive development context.
